Review by hotel critic
During our recent city trip to the Ophir Hotel, we found it to be a cozy haven that seamlessly catered to both our family needs and our desire for a laid-back atmosphere. The spacious and clean rooms came equipped with all the essentials, including a kettle and toaster for those lazy mornings when you just want to sip tea and take in the view. We enjoyed a hearty meal at the restaurant, with a delightful selection that included local wines from Angullong Wines—something my marine biologist heart appreciated for its sustainable ethos. The outdoor beer garden was a highlight, providing the perfect ambiance for a mid-afternoon drink while the kids explored the well-designed playground—a fantastic feature for families. Plus, the generous staff at the hotel made our stay even more enjoyable with their warm hospitality. Although there were minor maintenance issues, the overall experience was one I'd happily recommend for fellow travelers seeking comfort and relaxation. The Ophir Hotel, with its excellent food choices and family-friendly environment, is undoubtedly worth a visit!
